Week 8

Solids, Liquids, and Gases.....and Ice Cream

This week, we learned about the 3 states of matter:  solids, liquids, and gases.  On Friday, we made homemade ice cream to combine all three states.  It was super yummy!

Week 7

Fire Safety Assembly
On Wednesday, the Fairfield Fire Department came to Klein and taught us all about fire safety.  Some children were able to volunteer and participate in some of the fun activities.

Even I was volunteered to put on all of the equipment!

Week 6

Writing Sentences
We have been working hard at being great writers.  This week, we looked back at our stories, Stellaluna and Dragons and Giants and wrote sentences about the settings.

Prepositions
We did a "Buggy about Prepositions"  activity

Egg and Vinegar Experiment
We are learning how to be scientists.  We learned about the scientific method and we participated in an experiment to see what would happen to an egg after it sits in vinegar.
