All About: Being Published Authors

Our books finally came in!  Mr. Russell and I kept it a secret from the children.  We had Mr. Cook come in to our classroom to be a guest reader on Thursday.  He had a copy of our books that we wrote.  The kids were so surprised to hear their principal read books that were written and illustrated by them. 

Both Mr. Russell and myself are so proud of all their hard work.  The books turned out great!

All About: Junie B. Jones the Musical

Thanks to our AMAZING PTO, all K-2 students were able to travel to the Erie Playhouse this past Thursday and watch Junie B. Jones the Musical.  It was silly, funny, and spectacular!  All the children had a great time.  The actress who played Junie B. Jones was hysterical!  It was a great experience for everyone!

All About: Reading and Sunshine

We have patiently waited for the nice weather to return!  Finally it is here, and we try to enjoy it as much as possible.  This week, we were able to go outside and read some books and enjoy the fresh air.  It felt so good.  We are looking forward to enjoying this wonderful springtime weather as we wrap up the year!

All About: Wild Animals and Birthdays!

We were so lucky to enjoy a "Wild Animal" assembly on Tuesday thanks to our wonderful PTO!  We got to learn about lots of really cool animals.  Drew got to feed a tortoise and Mr. Russell was brave enough to have a tarantula placed on his back!

We also celebrated a birthday almost everyday this week!  Happy Birthday again to:  Christian, Sophia, Brianna, and Ben!  Thank you for bringing in yummy birthday treats for the children to enjoy!

We still have a lot of birthdays to celebrate in May and June!  It is going to be a fun month!
