All About: Miss Keith's Birthday!

We are so lucky to have Miss Keith in our classroom.  On Thursday we celebrated her birthday!  The kids surprised her with a Happy Birthday banner that they made during recess.  I know Miss Keith felt loved from all of the students and is enjoying her time with us in first grade at Klein!

Friday I was out of the classroom because my daughter had to have minor surgery.  I felt very confident and comfortable that Miss Keith and the substitute teacher were in charge of the classroom.  Lily had a successful surgery!   

All About: Valentine's Day!

We had a wonderful day on Wednesday celebrating Valentine's Day!  We did a science experiment with water, soda, vinegar, and candy hearts.  The students predicted if the candy heart would float or sink when put into the liquid.

We also had an amazing Valentine's Day party.  A big Thank You to the moms who helped out and organized the party!  It was so much fun!

All About: Klein Cares!

February is the first graders turn to complete a Klein Cares activity.  We chose to make Valentine's Day cards and give them to the residents at Brevilier Village.  The kids worked super hard on coloring and drawing pictures in the card and writing a sweet note inside the card.  I took the cards to Brevilier Village Friday after school.  I think the residents are going to love them!

All About: the 100th Day of School

We celebrated the 100th day of school on Thursday!  What a great feeling to know we have learned so much in 100 days!  It has been an exciting year, and there is still so much fun yet to be had!
