To end our money unit, we had a classroom store. This interactive and fun activity allowed students to experience a real shopping experience that helped them count out a specific amount of money.
On Wednesday, we set the prices less than $1.00 ....but on Friday, there was a price increase and everything was over $1.00. The students had a lot of fun shopping at our classroom store!

Week 30: Science Day!
We were so lucky to have Jason Bennett (Jack's Dad) and some of his Penn State Behrend students come to our school this past Wednesday and have a Science Day for our first graders! Both first grade classes got to experience fun activities and demonstrations that sparked their scientific minds.
Thank you Dr. Bennett and students for creating a memorable experience for our first graders.

Week 29: Happy Easter!
We are sure having a lot of fun in first grade! We love having Miss Throckmorton (or Miss T.) in our classroom to help out and learn how to be a teacher! She has been doing a wonderful job as our student teacher.
We did lots of fun Easter/Spring activities on Monday and Tuesday.
Happy Easter to everyone!

Week 28: A Visit from Edinboro University
We are doing great things at Klein Elementary and in First Grade! An undergraduate class from Edinboro University came to our classroom on Tuesday to observe our LOGIC lesson. They were so impressed with the first graders and all of their knowledge of the English language! Near the end, the Edinboro students paired up with a first grader to administer a spelling assessment. The children did an amazing job!!
