Week 24: Happy Read Across America Week!

We are excited to celebrate Read Across America Week beginning February 29th-March 4th!

We have lots of fun reading activities planned at school and we are also excited to visit the book fair and attend BINGO for BOOKS on Thursday!

One way we are going to celebrate this fun week in our classroom is by trying to read as many books as we can on our favorite I-pad app EPIC!  Epic is a free website and app for educators and the children are able to read lots of different types of books that interest them and that are on their level.

We are going to enter a contest and see how many books we can read during this fun week!

Epic Reading Challenge!

You can help by logging on at home and reading books on the computer or I-pad.

Go to www.getepic.com
Username:  ccady@hcsd.iu5.org
Password:  klein105

Just select your child's profile, select their preferences if they haven't already at school, and begin reading!

Let's see how many books we can read!

Week 23: A Rainbow Blizzard!

We are already thinking Spring in first grade!  February will be over soon and we have hopes for warmer, sunnier weather in March.  Today we decided to make a blizzard of rainbows!  There may still be snow outside and cold yucky weather, but inside we are keeping it colorful and hoping for Spring!
