There is someone new in our classroom for the month of December. He will be watching and making sure all the students are on their best behavior!
Say hello to Nick; our Elf on the Shelf!
He is a magical elf sent from the North Pole. His mission is to keep an eye on the children in room 1-C and report back to Santa every night! As many of you probably know, elves can be a little mischievous as well. We will be keeping a journal all month documenting where Nick is in the classroom and what he has gotten himself into.
Our Friday Outstanding Behavior Raffle Winners were Hayley D. and Noah L. Congratulations!!
Congratulations to Kyrielle and Hayleigh M. for winning our Friday Outstanding Behavior Raffle. They won a sucker, a positive principal pass and a phone call home!
Congratulations to all the students who earned Outstanding Cards! Remember...we will be having another raffle on Tuesday!
We won 'Chip' the dog this week for having the best attendance in the school last week! We can dress Chip up! I think I will make him a BUSY BEE.

We also had some guest readers in our classroom today. Mr. Cady and some ladies he works with from the hotel; Homewood Suites read to the kids today. It was a perfect tie-in with our social studies unit on community workers and our neighboring countries; Canada and Mexico. Every child got to take home a copy of the book and a little Rubber Ducky!
It was very nice meeting everyone at parent/teacher conferences! I think it is going to be a wonderful year!
Today we had our Friday Outstanding Behavior Raffle. Our two winners this week were: Alaina and T.R. Yay! Congratulations to the both of them!
Here are a couple pictures from the math game we were playing today! Partners rolled two dice, added them together and then colored in that many boxes. The person with the most boxes colored in won the game!
